VIENNA, 11 September Raiffeisenbank started investigation after copies of Russian passports lay for some time on the windowsill of a bank branch in Belgrade, the press service of the financial institution reported.
«We would like to inform you that an internal investigation has been launched on site in Serbia. Unfortunately, without any malicious intent, incorrectly posted information became visible to third parties during the normal procedure for archiving documents,» the statement said.
According to representative of the press service, this is an isolated incident that has never happened before. He also noted that the bank has implemented a “clean desk” policy into its daily work processes.

From English, clean desk policy is a corporate directive aimed at protecting data. It determines how the workplaces of the organization's employees should look when they are left unattended.

Raiffeisenbank in Serbia promised to take all necessary measures to avoid such incidents in the future.


The other day, a video of Russian passports lying on the windowsill of a bank branch in Belgrade appeared on social networks. The documents were in plain view of all passersby. The evening before, the correspondent was personally convinced of this, but in the first half of the day on Monday, the passports had already been removed.
