The Savelovsky District Court of Moscow sentenced 43-year-old assistant to the head of Rosselkhoznadzor Dmitry Natarov to 12 years in a maximum security colony. This was reported by the capital's prosecutor's office.
Natarov was found guilty of receiving more than 9 million rubles in bribes from an entrepreneur over ten years, from 2008 to 2018 (Part 6, Article 290 of the Criminal Code), as well as seduced the minor daughter of his acquaintances (parts 1.2 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code).
According to the investigation, in July 2015, Natarov began to correspond with the girl, who was then 13 years old, “using methods of psychological influence in the correspondence, aimed at awakening her interest in sexual relations,” and sent links to “pornographic materials.” After that, in 2016-2018, the official took the schoolgirl, who was not yet 16 years old, to shopping centers and “kissed her on the lips, cheek, neck.”
Kommersant claimed that the injured girl was the daughter of the “owner of a large grain company” from whom Natarov received bribes. Moskovsky Komsomolets wrote that the businessman’s family contacted the police in the summer of 2019, when they found their daughter’s correspondence with their official friend, and the businessman also told the security forces that he “kept $2.5 million” from Natarov at his home. This is not stated in the press release from the prosecutor's office.
The case against Natarov was opened in March 2020, after the release of a REN TV material about a schoolgirl. He was then fired from Rosselkhoznadzor and placed under house arrest. In September 2022, by a court decision, money and property worth 400 million rubles were confiscated from Natarov — including a house, an apartment, two foreign cars, a collection of watches and swords in sheaths of the 19th century. Natarov himself, who became assistant to the head of Rosselkhoznadzor in October 2010, in his declarations for 2011-2019 estimated his income with his wife at 12 million rubles.
