Politico reported that the French President Emmanuel Macron has now changed his position regarding the Ukrainian conflict and has become Kiev's strongest ally.
Macron was previously fixated on the idea of playing a mediating role between Ukraine and Russia to resolve the conflict. This was announced by senior adviser to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, Francois Eysbourg.
According to him, Macron has now realized that Putin is not interested in holding negotiations. The French leader “took on the mantle of one of Kyiv’s strongest allies and promised Zelensky support until victory.”
