The Lifan Myway crossover can be called one of the most disproportionate models on the market in terms of wheel size. Would it look better with larger wheels?
We continue our new column dedicated to crossovers with disproportionately small wheels. Its first hero was the Haval F7/F7x, popular in Russia, and today the Lifan Myway is next. The Chinese SUV was first introduced in 2016 and immediately became very popular in its homeland. A year later, Myway reached Russia, at the same time the online magazine kolesa.ru conducted the first test drive of the new product. One of the main advantages of the model, of course, was the price: at the start of sales it was 799 thousand rubles. It is not surprising that a queue immediately formed for the crossover. In addition to the cost, Lifan Myway may be interesting due to its seven-seater layout with very compact dimensions, as well as its attractive design, which has only one (but significant) question.
BeforeAfter
It concerns the size of the wheels and wheel arches, which are lost against the background of a rather massive body. However, formally they are not the smallest size: the crossover is equipped with 16 or 17-inch wheels, depending on the configuration. The car shown in the renderings has significantly larger wheels, their size is approximately 19 inches, while the tire profile remains the same high. In addition, the SUV received significantly enlarged arches, thanks to which the body became visually less heavy.

As already mentioned, the dimensions of the Lifan Myway are relatively small: the length is 4440 millimeters, the width is 1760 mm, and the height is 1730 mm. The wheelbase is 2,720 mm and the ground clearance is 192 mm. The only engine on the Russian market was a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing 125 hp. and 161 Nm of torque. It could be equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

Last year, the Lifan brand was renamed Livan, and this year a new compact crossover Livan X3Pro entered the Russian market, we tested it in the middle of summer.
By the way, in the comments you can suggest your options for cars that missed leg day, and we will read them and work on new renderings.
