MOSCOW, September 17 In Russia, 22 natural fires were extinguished in one day, Avialesookhrana reports.
«According to information from regional forestry dispatch services, over the past 24 hours, September 16, 2023, in 11 regions of Russia, forest fire services and involved persons extinguished 22 forest fires on an area covered by fire of 628 hectares,» the report says.
By midnight on September 17, there were 15 forest fires in Russia covering an area of 255 hectares, which were being actively extinguished.
The largest area of fires was recorded in the Trans-Baikal Territory — there are 2 fires on 180 hectares.
