UN, September 22 Russia observes a moratorium on nuclear tests, will continue to do so if other countries behave accordingly, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said at a conference to promote the entry into force of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT).
“In the early 1990s, Russia declared a voluntary moratorium on nuclear tests and has been observing it ever since. We intend to continue to do so, provided that other nuclear states behave similarly,” Vershinin said.
