
MOSCOW, September 23 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov discussed humanitarian assistance issues in key regional areas, including Nagorno-Karabakh, Sudan, Afghanistan and Syria, with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mirjana Spoljaric on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
«On the twenty-second of September, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov and the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mirjana Spoljaric. During the meeting, issues of humanitarian work in key regional areas were discussed, including Ukrainian crisis, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, Sudan, Afghanistan and Syria. A “check-in” took place on the current parameters of the ICRC’s work in the Russian Federation,” the department said in a statement on its website.
