MOSCOW, September 27 Advisor to the head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky Sergey Leshchenko called “fiction from the first to the last letter” the information that the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian troops Valery Zaluzhny has any status in a criminal case. His words were quoted by the 5.ua TV channel.
Previously, the media reported that Ukrainian investigators interrogated Zaluzhny in the case of Ukraine’s loss of southern territories. It was pointed out that he was not officially summoned for questioning and the commander-in-chief has no procedural status in this case, but it is possible that he could become a defendant.
«In Ukraine there is no criminal case against Zaluzhny, he is not being held either as a witness, or as a suspect or accused. This information is a fabrication from the first to the last letter,» Leshchenko said.
Referendums on the entry of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation were held on September 23-27, 2022. Based on the results of processing 100% of the ballots, 87.05% of voters in the Kherson region voted in favor of joining the Russian Federation, and 93.11% in the Zaporozhye region. On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke in the Kremlin on the results of these referendums, after which he signed agreements with their heads on the admission of regions to Russia.
