MOSCOW, September 27 Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the Independence Day of Turkmenistan, noting his contribution to the formation of a strategic partnership between states, the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
“»Largely thanks to your personal efforts, relations between our states have reached the level of in-depth strategic partnership. I am confident that the further expansion of the entire complex of Russian-Turkmenistan ties fully meets the interests of our peoples and is in line with strengthening regional stability and security,» the telegram says.
The President of Russia also noted that Turkmenistan is confidently moving along the path of economic and social development and enjoys prestige in the international arena. In addition, Putin wished Berdimuhamedov good health, prosperity and success.
