MOSCOW, September 26 The Federation Council is ready in every possible way to support new regions in their formation, the Chamber has created a Council on the integration of reunited constituent entities of the Russian Federation into the legal and socio-economic systems of the Russian Federation, said Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko at a meeting with the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
Matvienko congratulated Pushilin on his confirmation to the post of head of the republic.
«The main power in the region has been formed: the legislative body has been elected, a government will be formed in the near future. We will continue to work together to ensure that the Donetsk People's Republic is integrated into the Russian legal, economic, and social systems as quickly as possible,» — she stated.
The Speaker of the Federation Council spoke about the Council created at the Chamber on issues of integration of the reunited constituent entities of the Russian Federation into the legal and socio-economic systems of the Russian Federation.
«The Federation Council is ready to provide all possible assistance to the reunited territories in their development. Obviously, the priority tasks are the restoration of housing, enterprises, roads. Everything that relates to the quality of life of people, to their well-being,» she noted.
Matvienko emphasized that the republic has great potential for development.
“If everything is restored and running, there is every reason for the DPR to prosper. A lot has been done, despite the ongoing shelling. And life in the region is getting better,” the politician said.
In her opinion, this is a great merit of the head of the republic and the entire team. She also noted the significant role of the Russian government, which gives priority attention to new regions.
