MANZHEROK (Altai Republic), September 30 The introduction of a paid subscription to the electronic exchange of recyclable materials is necessary to cover the costs associated with its operation; tariffs are low and should not “scare off” market participants, said Denis Butsaev, general director of the Russian environmental operator.
Earlier, the company reported that the Electronic trading platform for the purchase and sale of recyclable materials will become paid for all users from January 1, 2024.
«The decision is caused primarily by the need to develop the platform quite intensively. This requires financial resources. Secondly, we see that the specified fee is more degree to cover part of the cost of operating the site and should not be a barrier for professional market participants,” Butsayev said on the sidelines of the Altai Environmental Forum.
According to the company, the cost of the tariff for 1 month will be 5 thousand rubles, for 6 months — 30 thousand rubles, for 12 months — 60 thousand.
The head of the REO emphasized that the fee for such services is much higher for similar instruments on the market.
«The platform performs many functions that are analytically predictive. Performing these functions without the involvement of qualified specialists who must constantly work on the electronic platform will be difficult. Any specialist must be paid,» Butsayev added.
In September 2022, REO presented an electronic exchange for secondary material resources, which allows you to buy and sell recyclable materials, enter into transactions for waste processing and meet recycling standards within the framework of extended producer responsibility.
