MOSCOW, September 30 Chinese companies have reduced sales of drones and their components to Ukraine, writes the American newspaper The New York Times.
The article clarifies that Beijing imposed export controls on a number of UAV-related equipment, as well as some drones, as of September 1.

“In recent months, Chinese companies have reduced sales of drones and components to Ukrainians. <…> Some Ukrainians were forced to beg, borrow and smuggle what they needed to compensate for gadgets shot down in the air,” the publication said, citing trade data and interviews with Ukrainian drone manufacturers.
How It is noted that China's export controls could worsen the problems of the Ukrainian supply chain ahead of winter.
Earlier, The New York Times reported that Ukraine is developing about six models of long-range drones, including those capable of flying more than a thousand kilometers.
In June, Deputy Minister of Strategic Industry of Ukraine Sergei Boev said that Kyiv was negotiating with Western arms manufacturers about establishing production of weapons in Ukraine, including drones, and could sign contracts in the coming months.
Russia previously sent a note to NATO countries over arms supplies to Ukraine. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that NATO countries are “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov noted that pumping Ukraine up with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect. Lavrov stated that the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, including not only by supplying weapons, but also by training personnel in the UK, Germany, Italy and other countries.
