MOSCOW, 2 Oct. Senator Alexei Pushkov called the head of the British Ministry of Defense Grant Shapps a “maniac”, who announced that he was studying the possibility of sending British soldiers to Ukraine.
“Each subsequent one is worse than the previous one. Here is this war maniac named Grant Shapps, the new British Minister of Defense, wants to send British troops to fight in Ukraine. The degree of madness in London is growing,» Pushkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, Shapps said that Great Britain is considering the possibility of stationing its military in Ukraine to train military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The minister noted, among other things, that this especially concerns the west of the country. According to him, in these territories Britain could do “more” than just training Ukrainian units.
Later, the country’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that the British military would not train Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers on the territory of Ukraine and participate in conflict.
