Deputy Khinshtein and the suspect’s lawyer revealed new details of the case
New details have appeared in the case of Hero of Russia Irek Magasumov, suspected of involvement in the murder of a girl in Lugansk. The most important details that could affect the fate of the arrested SVO member were revealed to MK by deputy Alexander Khinshtein. He stated that the lieutenant colonel was not even at the crime scene.

The criminal case against Hero of Russia, holder of three Orders of Courage Irek Magasumov, suspected of murdering a resident of Lugansk in August, may be taken under special control. «MK» told about this. State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein.
The parliamentarian recalled that he had already sent an appeal to the chief military prosecutor and the head of the Main Military Investigation Department.
According to Khinshtein, there are a lot of inconsistencies in the Magasumov case that give grounds for doubting the military’s involvement in the crime.
Let us remind you that Lieutenant Colonel Irek Magasumov, who has been participating in the SVO since February 24, 2022, is suspected of involvement in the murder of a girl in Lugansk on August 11. According to investigators, a serviceman accidentally fatally wounded a local resident with a pistol. Magasumov was detained and placed in a pre-trial detention center. Soon after this, the confession of his colleague, senior lieutenant Pavel Yaskevich, appeared in the case.

Alexander Khinshtein told the details of the events. According to him, three servicemen, including Magasumov and Yaskevich, decided to go to a cafe. In the evening, when the establishment was already closing, they went outside and saw girls with whom they decided to continue communicating. One of the military men did not want to go and stayed near the cafe. So only Irek Magasumov and Pavel Yaskevich remained with the ladies on the street.
— A colleague who stayed near the cafe called Magasumov on his mobile phone and asked him to come over. There a small conflict broke out with a group of mobilized people. Magasumov hurried to help, and suddenly heard that fatal shot, said Khinshtein.
The deputy added that it is very easy to confirm or refute the lieutenant colonel’s alibi — according to mobile operator billing.
The deputy believes that the version that the Hero of Russia was not involved in the murder is confirmed by the behavior of Pavel Yaskevich. After the tragedy, the lieutenant was scared. Returning to his unit, he hid the pistol under the mattress and shaved his beard so that possible witnesses would not identify him. But the very next day he came to the investigators, handed over the pistol and wrote a confession.
Magasumov’s lawyer Vladimir Agapov told MK that at the scene of the tragedy the operatives found two spent cartridges.
< p>“A ballistic examination has now been ordered,” the defense lawyer said. “The investigation raised only one question: whether the cartridges with these cartridges were fired from a pistol belonging to Yaskevich or not.”
— The girl who later died, I saw Yaskevich have a pistol under his jacket and asked him to let her shoot. He gave permission, they fired two shots in the direction of the forest belt,” the defense attorney said.
However, according to him, the detectives still have not found any traces of the murderous shot. The lawyer explained that the bullet went right through. Neither the bullet nor the cartridge case were found. Moreover, significant material evidence turned out to be in a strange state — clothes of the deceased.
— The girl’s top and shorts were washed and soaked in formaldehyde. That is, there were no traces left on them at all,” said Agapov and added that the defense does not know who washed away the traces of the crime from the clothes.
In addition, the lawyer revealed important details of the brawl near the cafe. According to him, in addition to the three mobilized, two strange-looking men took part in the conflict.
“One of them had a characteristic forelock and mustache, and the second had an interrupted tattoo with Slavic symbols on his leg,” the defender explained .
