A resident of the Trans-Baikal Territory, Tsyren-Dorzhi Tsyrenzhapov, who in 2020 was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the dismemberment of a girl, took part in the war, returned to the region and again became a suspect in murder. This was reported by sources of Chita.Ru and ChitaMedia.
The journalists' interlocutors clarified that the Chita District Court chose detention for Tsyrenzhapova as a preventive measure. At the same time, Chita.ru was unable to confirm the man’s arrest in court. The relevant information is not published on the website.
The murder occurred in early September in the village of Ugdan not far from the regional center of Chita. Sources do not provide other details of what happened.
In February 2020, the Central District Court of Chita sentenced Tsyrenzhapov to 14 years in a special regime colony. He was also ordered to pay 2 million rubles to the grandmother of the murdered girl. According to investigators, a Chita man beat and then strangled an 18-year-old girl. The next day, Tsyrenzhapov dismembered her body and drowned her in the river.
