MOSCOW, October 4More than 50 houses and outbuildings were damaged after yesterday’s shelling of the Bryansk village of Klimovo with cluster munitions, regional governor Alexander Bogomaz reported on his Telegram channel.
«As a result of yesterday's shelling, more than 50 residential households and outbuildings were partially damaged. Work to eliminate the consequences of the shelling continues,» the publication says.
Yesterday, the Ukrainian military hit the village with cluster shells. After the shelling, the operational services cleared the area and destroyed the ammunition, as well as their parts.
Recently, the Ukrainian military has been using cluster munitions received from the United States to attack border areas. When they explode, these shells release smaller bombs, some of which fail to detonate for technical reasons. They can kill or maim people long after the end of hostilities.
Klimovsky district is one of six border districts of the Bryansk region, borders the Chernigov region of Ukraine and is regularly subjected to shelling.
The Ukrainian army is constantly attacking Russian border territories, carrying out drone strikes and carrying out sabotage. There is a yellow level of terrorist danger in the Bryansk region.
