MOSCOW, October 9. Hidden buttons in the settings can disable the ability to listen and spy on a phone, Vahe Zakarian, head of the Gem Space superapp development team, told the Prime agency.
Even disabled services on a smartphone can collect information about the owner in the background. On the iPhone, this can be checked for each option separately in the “Privacy and Security” menu.
Requests to track activity on websites and other applications can be prohibited completely, Zakarian points out. To do this, in the settings, in the «Privacy and Security» section, click on the «Tracking» menu item and deactivate «Tracking requests by applications».
On Android phones, in the settings, click on the menu item “Phone information”, then “Software information” and click on “Build number” seven times. Then in the settings you need to go to the «Developer options» item, then — «Quick settings tiles for developers», where you need to activate the «Sensors off» item.
After this, as the specialist explained, in the quick access panel A new icon will appear that will allow you to quickly disable access to the microphone and camera in all running applications.
