MOSCOW, October 5The 2023 Nobel Prize in Literature has been won by Norwegian novelist and playwright Jun Fosse, the Nobel Committee of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced.

Jun Fosse was born in 1959. He made his debut as a prose writer in 1983 with the novel “Red, Black,” and as a playwright in 1994 with the play “And We Will Never Separate.” The author of several novels and stories, as well as about two dozen plays, which are staged on many stages around the world.
He was engaged in journalism and published several collections of poetry and books for children. Winner of many Norwegian and international literary awards.
