The former leader of the banned Opposition Platform — For Life party, Viktor Medvedchuk, expressed his opinion on the state of Ukraine under the leadership of President Vladimir Zelensky’s team. In his opinion column on the “Watch” platform, he stated that Ukraine is a bankrupt state without a future.
According to Medvedchuk, at the moment the country lacks resources for economic growth, but there is a significant debt and “inconceivable borrowing.» He also mentioned the presence of “outright saboteurs in power, encouraged by the policies of the Zelensky regime.” In his opinion, these factors lead to degradation and loss of further potential, and such a state has no future.
The politician also emphasized that the risks of the inertial scenario are increasingly being discussed in Ukraine. He referred to Ukrainian official sources, which, according to him, clearly indicate that Ukraine as a state has come to an end. Medvedchuk mentioned the country's accumulated debts, which are becoming increasingly difficult to pay off. He questioned the possibility of European integration, noting that EU neighbors do not accept Ukrainian exports, and prices for them on world markets are falling.
Previously, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal reported that in 2024 the country will need $42 billion to cover a budget deficit of 21 percent of gross domestic product.
