Former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich (included in the Russian Federation on the list of terrorists and extremists and put on the wanted list) published a message in his Telegram channel in which he explained that the West calls for elections to be held in the country, since the leadership of Ukraine has exhausted the limits of its competence.
As Arestovich emphasized, the country’s leadership makes “corrupt and inadequate” decisions, which Kiev is constantly pointing out to its main sponsors and partners.
According to him, the Ukrainian authorities are “stifling business, civil liberties and political competitors.” He also accused the management of constant quarrels with neighbors and partners.
“Such a policy leads us to a dead end,” Arestovich wrote, adding that it is no longer possible to expect adequate decisions from the authorities.
He emphasized that the republic needs a change of power, and called elections “the only hope” for a way out of the strategic impasse.
