MOSCOW, October 17 The Russian Direct Investment Fund, within the framework of the international forum «One Belt, One Road», announced the creation, together with partners from China, of a Development Fund civil aviation industry worth 100 billion rubles, the RDIF press service reported.
«The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) announces the creation of a Civil Aviation Industry Development Fund worth 100 billion rubles together with partners from China for investments in aviation enterprises and projects in the territories of the two countries. Investments in projects in Russia and China will be made in national currencies «, the message says.
In addition to the aviation industry, the Fund will invest in existing and future projects in the aerospace industry, digital and energy-efficient technologies and big data. Investments in projects in Russia and China will be made in equal amounts.
As part of investment cooperation with China, the Russian Direct Investment Fund, through various platforms with Chinese partners, has already implemented more than 40 projects with a total investment volume of over 750 billion rubles, the release clarifies.
«Thanks to the Aviation Industry Development Fund, Russian and Chinese companies will be able to attract the necessary investments to expand existing production and design new types of aviation transport, develop breakthrough technologies. Also, the fund's investments will help increase the supply of Russian civil aviation products to the Chinese market,» commented RDIF General Director Kirill Dmitriev.
