FBK director Ivan Zhdanov wrote in a telegram channel that writing materials were taken away from Alexei Navalny in the colony, which is why he refused to leave his cell.
“He refused to leave his cell for the trial and investigative actions. Security forces in helmets entered the cell and, using force, dragged him to the investigator,” Zhdanov said.
Today the Kovrov City Court of the Vladimir Region was supposed to consider Navalny’s next lawsuit, but the politician was not included in the hearing ( he participates in trials via video link from the colony). According to SOTAvision, this time Navalny is suing because the colony has not given him the opportunity to have his teeth treated for 10 months.
Federal Penitentiary Service representative Artem Krylov explained Navalny’s absence at the meeting as follows: “I learned that the plaintiff, for some reason not related to the present case, refuses to go to the room where the video conferencing is organized. The administration of the institution cannot legally force or coerce him; there are no such grounds. It is his right to participate or not to participate in the meeting.”
As a result, the process was postponed to November 2 at 15:00.
