MOSCOW, October 25 Everton football club faces withdrawal a record 12 points in the English Premier League (EPL) due to a violation of financial fair play rules, reports the Mirror.
According to the source, a decision on this issue should be made at the end of this year. Everton are believed to have recorded a financial loss of £371.8m, £266.8m more than the club's budget.
Everton's punishment could become a record for the Premier League. In 2010, Portsmouth was deducted 9 points for declaring bankruptcy and introducing external management into the club, after which the team was relegated.
