An elite brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, “washed in blood” near Rabotino, was transferred to the fortified area
Russian army soldiers entered Avdeevka. Such information, as well as video from the broken city, appeared on Friday, October 27. However, this information has not yet been officially confirmed. Meanwhile, it became known that Zelensky demanded that maximum forces be transferred to this direction in order to hold the city. After the loss of the Avdeevsky waste heap, the situation for the enemy could become critical at any moment.
Bad weather made its own adjustments to the fighting in the Avdeevsky direction. Rain, cold winds and thick fog gave both sides time to rest. Some soldiers from this sector of the front said that for the first time in two weeks there was a lull. Let us remind you that on October 10, near Avdeevka, artillery and aviation preparations of unprecedented force began, after which our units began to cover the fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. After this, attacks on Ukrainian positions continued day after day.
Already next week, weather forecasters promise warm and sunny weather here, which means that hostilities will resume with the same intensity. There will be no interference with the use of reconnaissance drones, as well as cannon artillery. At the same time, as the soldiers write, “the trenches are muddy after the rains.”
On the morning of October 27, a video appeared from Avdiivka, as well as news that our troops were already inside the largest fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. “We are receiving information that our fighters have already entered the territory of Avdiivka. This has not yet been officially confirmed, but I really want to believe it,” reports the channel of the 105th Regiment of the People’s Militia of the DPR.
Our artillery supports the attack aircraft and continues to strike at the Avdeevka coke plant, which is located within the city, in the industrial zone. Thus, the factory management building was destroyed, in which the enemy had set up observation posts and firing positions. As you know, under the building there has been a three-level bomb shelter since Soviet times.
Even if the news about the appearance of our military in the city was rushed, there is reason to believe that this could happen in the near future. Ours are gradually tightening the “Avdeevka stranglehold” — they continue to cover the fortified area and isolate the Ukrainian Armed Forces group from the delivery routes for reinforcements and ammunition.
Ours advanced and gained a foothold near the railway from Krasnogorovka, in the southwest of the city. The enemy, as they say from the ground, “crumbled” in this area.
There are serious advances in the south — fighters from the village of Opytnoye have approached the city another kilometer.
Our units reached the outskirts of Pervomaisky, which is southwest of Avdeevka. It is reported from the ground that the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to destroy the Russian flags that were installed on the reclaimed ash dump using FPV drones. All flags were returned by our soldiers to their place. And this, experts believe, is the main proof that the waste heap is no longer a “gray zone”, but a territory completely controlled by us.
The enemy’s tactical plan has also become clear: he is trying to cut off our advancing units from the main forces . So far he has not succeeded.
In Kyiv, on Bankovaya, it seems that they are beginning to realize the criticality of the situation. So, they say that on Friday, October 27, Zelensky demanded that shock brigades be transferred to the Avdiivka direction in order to hold the city at any cost. He acted approximately in the same way during the battle for Bakhmut (Avdeevka), which he declared an unbending “fortification.” It didn’t help.
For our command, the transfer of Ukrainian reserves to Avdiivka did not come as a surprise. “Ours, too, are not flapping their ears, but are preparing for very tough battles that will begin any day,” wrote military observer Sergei Lebedev.
Kyiv is transferring the notorious 47th separate mechanized brigade “Magura” to Avdeevka. Considered an elite brigade since the beginning of the Ukrainian great summer offensive due to the heavy losses suffered in the fierce battles near Rabotino, it has already been sent three times for reorganization and replenishment.
According to military expert Vladislav Shurygin, the 47th brigade was armed with 28 M-55 tanks provided by Slovenia, and 50 M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. From a battalion of 400 men, a brigade of 3,300 men was deployed. By the start of the Ukrainian offensive on June 4, it was one of the most combat-ready. However, in the first week of fighting, it lost up to 15 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, five German Leopard tanks (Leopard 2A6), three T-72M1 tanks, five YPR-765, a BMR-2 mine clearing vehicle, five VAB armored vehicles and up to 200 personnel were killed and at least 300 wounded.
At the end of July, the brigade received a Bradley to replace those destroyed and, replenished with people, was again thrown into battle. And again she washed herself with blood, Shurygin recalled. In his opinion, nothing good will shine in Avdeevka for the 47th Brigade either.
