MOSCOW, 27 Oct. Singer Zivert (Julia Sievert) presented to the public her third studio album, “In the World of the Merry,” the singer’s managers reported.
The album includes 14 new tracks. The new album is not like the previous ones, as the singer abandoned the traditional vintage sound.
“Why limit yourself when there is a whole endless ocean of music and millions of directions? I deliberately took this risk, because I am not just an artist, I am first and foremost a musician, a creator,” the performer shared.
The idea of creating singles was born on the island of Bali — the place of Yulia’s power, and, in her opinion, this is clearly reflected in the general mood of the record.
In the new album, 70 percent of the words and music were written by the singer, which was a new experience.
“
"This is the most special album for me because I started writing. “I finally discovered this authorial streak in myself that I’ve always felt,” explained the artist.
At the same time, the self-explanatory title of the album, according to Zivert representatives, carries double meanings.
“
"This is a kind of collective image, metaphor, irony. Everyone will discover their meaning through the prism of internal perception: some directly, and others by reading between the lines,” the managers are sure.
The genre of the album, which mixes several different styles from afro-house before hip-hop, Yulia called it “avant-garde pop with a pinch of grotesque.” She added that she will soon release a film about its creation.
Earlier in October, Zivert presented a new song and video, “Take and Run.”
