KRASNODAR, October 27 A court in Kuban sentenced nine years in a maximum security colony to a taxi driver who invited a passenger home, stabbed her with a kitchen knife and took the body to the river, they reported regional prosecutor's office.
“»The Tikhoretsk City Court passed a verdict in a criminal case against a 59-year-old local resident. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder)… The court imposed a sentence of imprisonment for a term of nine years to be served in a high-security correctional colony. A civil claim in favor of the victims in the amount of two million rubles was also satisfied,” the statement says.
It was established that on February 21, the driver met a woman in a taxi and invited her to his home. In the evening they drank alcohol and quarreled. The man stabbed the guest many times with a kitchen knife, the woman died. The next day, the defendant loaded her corpse into a car and took it to the area of the Chelbas River.
