MOSCOW, October 30 The Tagansky Court of Moscow arrested the mother of an eight-month-old child who ended up in intensive care due to beatings, the court reported.
“The court chose a preventive measure against Marina Damirovna Iskhakova in the form of detention until December 28,” the court said.
They clarified that the woman was charged under paragraph “b” of Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Deliberate infliction of grievous harm to the health of a minor).
Earlier, the capital's prosecutor's office reported that on the night of October 28, an eight-month-old child with multiple bodily injuries was found in an apartment on Nizhegorodskaya Street; the 31-year-old mother and her 33-year-old partner were being checked for involvement in illegal actions. The boy was hospitalized and is in intensive care; the injuries he received require long-term rehabilitation.
According to the capital's prosecutor's office, the woman has been deprived of parental rights in relation to two other children.
