VLADIVOSTOK, October 31 Law enforcement officers have completed a criminal investigation into a former physical education teacher in Vladivostok, who attacked a student during a lesson, reports the RF SUSK for the Primorsky Territory.
In September, a video appeared on social networks of a man allegedly using physical force against a boy at school No. 21 in Vladivostok. Later, the SUSK in Primorye announced the initiation of a criminal case under Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (failure to fulfill obligations to raise a minor) because of these personnel. It was reported that the video included a physical education teacher and a student. The Vladivostok mayor's office told reporters that an investigation was underway against the teachers who were in the classroom at the time of the incident and against the school management. The physical education teacher and the teacher in whose presence the incident occurred were suspended from work and subsequently dismissed, the Ministry of Education of Primorye reported.
«In Vladivostok, a criminal investigation has been completed against a former physical education teacher. He is accused of committing a crime under Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (failure to fulfill duties under education of a minor) <…> The criminal case will be sent to court for consideration on the merits,” the message says.
As the Primorye prosecutor’s office clarifies, the defendant, “trying to cope with the disobedience of a sixth-grade student born in 2010, used physical force against the child, causing bodily harm.”
