MOSCOW, Nov. 2 Russian Aerospace Forces shot down 17 Ukrainian MiG-29 fighters for ten days in October, writes the American magazine Military Watch.

"In October, the intensity of air battles over Ukraine increased significantly, which, according to numerous estimates, has not been seen since the first weeks of full-scale Russian- Ukrainian military operations since February 2022. From October 13 to 23, Russian troops shot down 17 MiG-29 fighters,” the material says.
As journalists pointed out, the Ukrainian military uses outdated MiG-29 aircraft, which are significantly inferior to Russian MiG interceptors -31, Su-35 and Su-57 fighters.
Observers suggested that the Ukrainian Air Force had only more than two dozen MiG-29 aircraft left.
The day before, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said, that over the past month, Russian air defense destroyed over 1.4 thousand enemy air attack weapons, including 37 aircraft and six ATACMS missiles. He also added that air defense systems can shoot down all F-16 fighters planned for delivery to Kyiv in about 20 days.
