ASTANA, November 9. Russia is ready to meet friends from Kazakhstan halfway so that the republic’s energy needs are met, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
“There are issues here that require certain coordination and clarification of the numbers… We are ready to meet our friends halfway so that their needs are met,” Putin said following the Russian-Kazakh talks, speaking about cooperation in the energy sector.
He added that Russia is aware of the need of the Kazakh economy for primary energy resources.
«We are discussing this with the president and are ready for joint — long-term, I want to emphasize — cooperation for the long term,» Putin said, noting that this should ensure stability in the energy sector.
