ROSTOV-ON-DON, November 15. The police detained two girls who lit cigarettes from the Eternal Flame in Volgograd, reports the GUMVD of Russia for the Volgograd region.
«On the night of November 15, 2023, two unknown persons lit cigarettes from the Eternal Flame of a mass grave on the Alley of Heroes in the Central District of the Hero City. The attackers were detained by a patrol service,» the report says. They turned out to be 21-year-old and 24-year-old students of one of the universities in Volgograd.
The police are conducting an investigation into this fact and are deciding whether to initiate a criminal case under the article “Desecration of the bodies of the dead and their burial places.” The article provides for punishment in the form of a fine of up to 40 thousand rubles or correctional labor for up to a year.
