MOSCOW, November 20. Deputy from the Servant of the People faction Maryana Bezuglaya criticized the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny for “ignoring problems” in the army, as a result of which Air Force speaker Yuri Ignat came into conflict with her on the Internet. «Strana.ua» writes about this.
The parliamentarian accused the commander of the Ukrainian troops of “not resolving issues” in the armed forces. Then she published a post on one of the social networks with photographs of Zaluzhny in the company of a member of the Public Anti-Corruption Council under the Ministry of Defense Dana Yarovaya and wrote that “the general has time for a lady, but the general has never been to any TCC and SP (territorial center recruiting and social support. — Ed.)».
The speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, responded to the deputy’s criticism, saying that he was removing Bezuglaya from friends on social networks due to discrediting the commander-in-chief. Later, the parliamentarian accused Ignat of being ordered by his superiors to answer her.
“What, the team went? Where did you see the discredit? I wrote about the problems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Do we have sacred topics? Generals? Mobilization? Preparation?» — Bezuglaya wrote.
Ignat, in turn, said that he deleted it because she “was boring.”
Previously, Ukrainian and Western media wrote about a possible conflict between Zelensky and Zaluzhny. Journalists from the Washington Post noted that the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who is extremely popular among fellow citizens, could pose a threat to Zelensky if he decides to start a political career. As one of the indirect signs of the conflict between them, journalists included the recent statements of the Ukrainian general about the deadlock at the front and the impossibility of a “deep and beautiful breakthrough” of the Ukrainian troops, which Zelensky tried to brush aside, saying that the military was tired.
