VORONEZH, November 22. Over 63 billion rubles are provided for the regional healthcare system in the Voronezh region in 2024, the regional Duma reported on Wednesday.
The draft law of the Voronezh region “On the regional budget for 2024 and for the planning period of 2025 and 2026” was considered during the “zero” reading by the relevant committees of the regional parliament. According to the Chairman of the Voronezh Regional Duma Vladimir Netesov, as in all recent years, healthcare remains one of the most financially intensive areas. Financing comes from several sources: funds from compulsory health insurance, funds from the regional and federal budgets, as well as income from paid services of institutions.
“Consolidated expenditures on the industry, taking into account all sources of financing in 2024, are planned to amount to more than 63.3 billion rubles (without the regional targeted investment program and capital repair program). Regional budget expenditures will amount to over 27.3 billion rubles,” Netosov said.
Funds for fulfilling regional powers in the field of healthcare — and these are costs for primary health care and specialized medical care, high-tech care in regional medical institutions, palliative care, provision of medicines to beneficiaries, orphan diseases, as well as a number of other areas — are planned in required volume and will amount to almost 15.4 billion rubles.
The costs of providing medicines to benefit categories of citizens have been significantly increased. Particular attention, as the Legislative Assembly notes, is paid to patients with rare (orphan) diseases. In total, funds for these lines are provided in the amount of over 2 billion rubles, with an increase (in comparable conditions) to the current year level by 53% — almost 700 million rubles.
