Hamas released the first 13 Israeli hostages. These are women and children. They have now been handed over to representatives of the Red Cross and are on their way to Egypt. The released hostages will then enter Israel through the Nitsana checkpoint.
According to sources, 12 Thai citizens, who were also among the hostages, were also released.
Currently, dozens of journalists are on duty at an airbase in southern Israel, where the first group of freed hostages is to be delivered.
