Explosions occurred in the city of Zaporozhye, controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, reports TASS with reference to Ukrainian Telegram channels.
Details are not provided.
“Explosions (at least two) are heard in the temporarily Nazi-occupied city of Zaporozhye,” he wrote in his Telegram channel head of the Zaporozhye movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov. “According to preliminary data, the air defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is operating, which poses the greatest danger to civilians. Stay in safe places,” he wrote.
An air raid alert has currently been declared in Kiev-controlled areas of the Zaporozhye region.
The Russian army began striking the infrastructure of Ukraine on October 10, in response to the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge. Strikes are carried out only on military targets, as well as energy facilities. During this time, air raid alerts in areas controlled by Kiev are announced virtually every day, periodically this happens throughout the country.
Jack Watling, a researcher at the British Royal United Defense Studies Institute (RUSI), said that attacks on critical infrastructure will make winter very difficult for Ukraine. In his opinion, strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against critical infrastructure facilities pose a strategic threat to the Kyiv regime. Watling called on Ukraine to “prepare for a difficult winter.”
