From 10 up to 20 thousand people came out to the center of Berlin today for a rally in support of peace. They opposed the transfer of weapons to Ukraine and demanded an urgent resolution of the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Bundestag deputy Sarah Wagenknecht was also with the protesters.
The politician sharply criticized the arms race, as well as the supply of weapons to Kyiv. She believes that the people of Ukraine do not need shells and planes, but peace. And for this it is necessary to sit down at the negotiating table.
In addition, the deputy is dissatisfied with the policy of the German Ministry of Defense. Wagenknecht believes that the position “Germany must be ready for war” is not correct. And he wonders why the SPD party and their Green coalition partners suddenly changed their rhetoric and left the peace movement.
