YEKATERINBURG, November 30. A conflict with shooting occurred on a tram in Yekaterinburg, the injured student of the Ural Federal University was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the face, the head of the regional press service told reporters Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Valery Gorelykh.
«According to preliminary data, a conflict occurred between a student and a group of young people in a public transport cabin, the motive of which is now being established. The passengers were unable to resolve the quarrel peacefully. One of the guys grabbed an object that looked like a pistol and fired a shot into the victim’s cheek The victim ran out at the bus stop and immediately went to the UrFU building for help,” the report says.
As Gorelykh clarified, the injured student of the Ural Federal University, born in 2001, was taken to the hospital. Currently, police officers are identifying witnesses to the incident, studying footage from street surveillance cameras and finding out the identities of the attackers.
According to the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, a criminal case has been initiated into the incident under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder).
