The letter notes that 2023 was a breakthrough year for Russian digital technologies, which are successfully used, including in the development of unmanned vehicles.
This year, commercial operation of Yandex unmanned taxis began: while similar projects are being suspended abroad, Russian developments are only gaining momentum. Currently, unmanned taxis are being tested at special testing sites without a driver in the cabin. Russian companies also launched an experiment in unmanned cargo transportation on the M-11 Neva highway; this year, Lastochka trains also received the third and fourth levels of automation; from 2024, unmanned Lastochkas should make their first trips along the MCC in Moscow. At the end of the year, the first ferries — Marshal Rokossovsky and General Chernyakhovsky — can also switch to unmanned navigation.
Do not forget about developments for the future: on September 1, 2023, the National Project for the development of unmanned aircraft systems was approved, which will allow our companies to begin mass production and implementation of civil drones.
I am sure that such a special the series of postage stamps will be of interest not only to collectors, but also to all those in Russia and friendly countries who want to learn more about the development of Russian digital technologies. Polina Davydova Director of the Association “Digital Transport and Logistics”
