The Lyublinsky District Court of Moscow sent 21-year-old Sukhrob Yusupov to a pre-trial detention center on charges of violence against a security officer (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code) and insulting a government official (Article 319 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the joint press service of the capital's courts.
The reason for the case was an incident that occurred on December 15. According to investigators, the 21-year-old driver “did not obey” the security officer during the document check and tried to drive away from him. As a result, he ran over a police officer, and after his arrest, he struck the security officer several more times.
As the police reported, during the arrest Yusupov suffered an epileptic seizure. The department added: “While assisting the detainee, a group of aggressive citizens (more than 80 people) approached the police officers and tried to push them away from the detainee, damaging the official car by cutting a wheel.”
For 82 detainees opened administrative cases under articles of petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code) and violation by a foreign citizen of the rules of entry into Russia or the regime of stay in the country (Article 18.8 of the Administrative Code).
