MOSCOW, December 18 A man was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury and a head wound after a fall of ice from the roof of a residential building in Bryansk, the prosecutor’s office is conducting an investigation, they reported in the press service of the Bryansk city administration and in the regional prosecutor's office.
«On Lenin Avenue, ice fell from the roof of house No. 6 onto a passerby. A 68-year-old man was injured. Arriving doctors diagnosed a closed craniocerebral injury and a bruised wound to the parietal area of the head. The man was hospitalized in city hospital No. 1,» it says in the message. The victim received the necessary medical care at the medical institution, the regional prosecutor’s office added.
The authorities noted that the administration of the Sovetsky district of Bryansk warned management companies and homeowners associations in advance in writing about the need to timely remove ice from the roofs of buildings and fencing places where snow and icicles could fall, as well as the responsibility for the safety of citizens. It is clarified that fines for management companies that maliciously evade fulfilling their winter duties range from 10 to 20 thousand rubles.
The regional supervisory agency reported that the prosecutor's office of the Sovetsky district of Bryansk organized an investigation into the fact that ice fell on a pedestrian, based on the results of which the actions of the responsible employees of the management organization will be assessed for the timely cleaning of the roof and canopies of balconies from snow and ice .
