It was previously reported that on Wednesday night in the Admiralteysky district at 73 Gorokhovaya Street, a six-story non-residential building, which had previously been vacated, collapsed. Debris is being cleared at the scene, and the prosecutor's office has organized an inspection. 27 people were evacuated from an adjacent residential building. The city emergency department reported that there were no deaths or injuries.
The headquarters for eliminating the consequences of the collapse was headed by the Governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov. Currently, emergency specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, law enforcement officers and utility services are working on the site.
The governor of St. Petersburg reported that at night at 1.58 two abandoned entrances to an emergency outbuilding on Gorokhovaya Street collapsed, and the last of the residents of this house was persuaded to move to a hotel only the day before. As a result, no one was injured in the collapse. Residents of the neighboring house and two residential entrances are accommodated in hotels.
