ROSTOV-ON-DON, December 20 The Southern District Military Court sentenced Ukrainian citizen Vladimir Linnik, who repaired military equipment in the terrorist battalion «Aidar»*, to six years in prison, a representative told reporters court
According to him, Linnik, after completing military service in Ukraine in June 2016, joined the terrorist community — the 24th separate assault battalion «Aidar» * — as a senior turner. He was provided with firearms, ammunition, military uniforms and other ammunition and carried out repairs and maintenance of military equipment that was used by the terrorist community on the territory of the DPR.
In December 2016, the leadership of the battalion «Aidar»* unilaterally terminated the contract with Linnik «due to his violation of the conditions of military service.»
“Linnik was found guilty and sentenced to 6 years in a general regime correctional colony,” said a court representative.
A criminal case was initiated under the article on participation in a terrorist community.
The verdict has not entered into legal force.
