MOSCOW, December 21 Federation Council and State Duma are preparing invitations for international parliamentary organizations and structures, to the parliaments of friendly countries to participate in monitoring the presidential elections in the Russian Federation, said Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko.
«Now the Federation Council and the State Duma, we are preparing invitations to participate in monitoring the presidential elections in the Russian Federation in international parliamentary organizations and structures, parliaments of friendly countries,” the speaker said during the annual briefing.
She noted that the assessment of Russia’s partners in the CIS IPA and the CSTO PA is also important. The senator emphasized that “our electoral system is one of the most transparent and honest.”
“We have nothing to hide, so we are interested in having foreign observers monitor the elections,” she noted.
