The Ministry of Justice added to the register of “undesirable” organizations the Help Desk project of media manager Ilya Krasilshchik, as well as the Global Investigative Journalism Network. This was reported on the department’s website; OVD-Info drew attention to the update.
In addition, the “Real Russia” project was included in the list. The founders of the organization are writer Boris Akunin, actor Mikhail Baryshnikov and economist Sergei Guriev. As stated on the website, the organization “helps those affected by this war [in Ukraine] and unites all people of Russian culture who oppose criminal military aggression.”
The “Help Desk” also appeared after the start of the war in Ukraine. The project consists of media that talks about the war, as well as a chat where you can turn, for example, for help regarding mobilization, the threat of a criminal case and Internet safety.
The Global Investigative Journalism Network project unites 244 non-governmental organizations in 90 countries. They all support and develop investigative journalism.
