Russians' salary expectations in 2023 increased by 15-20%
In 2023, Russian citizens began to ask for more money when hiring. This was reported by Lenta.ru with reference to a study by the UTEAM service.
It is noted that 67% of respondents among employers reported an increase in salary expectations by 15-20%. At the same time, as analysts noted, not all companies were ready for such requests from job seekers.
Service experts pointed out that candidates who enter the labor market today base their demands not only on how much they earned before, but also to changes in the market as a whole, to inflation and rising prices. UTEAM emphasized that this is why applicants’ salary expectations sometimes significantly exceed their income at their last job.
