The father of the head of the press service of the Russian Orthodox Church, Vladimir Legoyda, was killed in the Moscow region

In the city of Vidnoye, Moscow region, the body of Roman Legoyda, the father of the head of the press service of the Russian Orthodox Church, Vladimir Legoyda, was found. TASS and RIA Novosti reported this with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies.

Telegram channels “112” and Mash write that a 90-year-old man was attacked while he was walking to a grocery store. The body of Roman Legoyda was found in a ravine with 18 stab wounds.

The press service of the Investigative Committee announced the initiation of a criminal case of murder (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code).

Roman Legoyda’s son Vladimir has been responsible for the interaction of the Russian Orthodox Church with public organizations and the media since 2015. He also holds the position of editor-in-chief of the Orthodox magazine “Thomas” and hosts the author’s program “Parsuna” on the Spas TV channel.

The Ukrainian authorities accuse Vladimir Legoyda of promoting and supporting the war.
