
MOSCOW, December 30 LDPR leader and candidate from the party for the presidential elections in the Russian Federation, Leonid Slutsky, while on a trip to Chukotka, said that his presidential platform would be composed of proposals from residents of Russian regions, noting that guarantees for Far Easterners should be expanded.
«My presidential platform will be composed of proposals from residents of Russian regions. And here we are in Anadyr meeting with people, with entrepreneurs, to prepare proposals for our program, in which the Far East will occupy a special place,» he wrote in his Telegram- channel.
The candidate believes that it is necessary to expand the system of guarantees for Far Eastern residents.
“In Anadyr, in other cities and towns of the Far East and the whole country there should be convenient infrastructure, opportunities for raising children, quality food and education,” the deputy added.
Slutsky noted that now during the trip proposals are being collected and the foundation is being created for the long-term work of the party.
“Chukotka is a special region where courageous people live, very strong, very kind, who have achieved a lot in difficult conditions. I invite ministers and heads of departments to visit Chukotka. Today it is very important to be closer to people and solve their problems,” he concluded.
According to Slutsky, as noted in a message from the LDPR press service, the program will include not only the development of infrastructure projects, but also the expansion of guarantees for Far Eastern residents, targeted support for families, including free travel for children and parents to summer holiday destinations, support for talented graduates and other popular areas of assistance.
As part of the trip, Slutsky visited the Chukotka social rehabilitation center for minors, where children in difficult life situations live. The party leader congratulated the students and employees of the center on the upcoming New Year.
Also, the LDPR delegation visited the “Living Greens” greenhouse plant, where, in the harsh weather conditions of the Far North, greens are grown in special beds for local residents.
In addition, , a meeting was held with the Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug Vladislav Kuznetsov and representatives of the Chukotka regional branch of the LDPR.
The Russian presidential elections are scheduled for March 17, 2024. The acceptance of documents for self-nominated candidates ended on December 27; candidates from political parties can be nominated until January 1. From the Duma parties, Nikolai Kharitonov from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Leonid Slutsky from the Liberal Democratic Party and Vladislav Davankov from New People have already been nominated by congresses and submitted documents to the Central Election Commission.
