FT: Zelensky was furious after Zaluzhny’s statements about the failure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky was very angry when he learned that the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, in an article for The Economist, admitted the failure of the Ukrainian army and the “deadlock” of the situation on the battlefield. This is reported by the Financial Times (FT).
«In a November interview with The Economist magazine, in which he said that the situation had reached an impasse — a taboo word in government circles, which infuriated the president,» it says in the publication.
At the same time, journalists pointed out that before this the Ukrainian military leader was not a very significant figure in the media, with some exceptions, one of which was an article in The Economist.
In addition, the published article states that now neither the political nor the military leadership of Ukraine wants to be responsible for the mass mobilization of the population.
