MOSCOW, January 3 The ruble began the first trading day of the year with a decline against the main currencies, according to data from the Moscow Exchange.
So, by 07: 04 Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate for “tomorrow” calculations grew by 37 kopecks — to 90.73 rubles. Moreover, at the start of trading it jumped to 91 rubles — for the first time since December 28.
The euro added 25 kopecks, rising to 99.87 rubles.
The yuan rose in price by seven kopecks, to 12.68 rubles.
The day before, the dollar strengthened against world currencies — its index increased by 0.71 percent, to 102.05 points. At the same time, oil prices began to decline slightly — Brent lost 0.01 percent, falling to $77.03 per barrel, and WTI fell 0.24 percent to $71.48.
