Baza: due to a locomotive breakdown in a field in the Chelyabinsk region, a passenger train stops for five hours
The Baza Telegram channel reports that a passenger train has been parked in a field in the Chelyabinsk region for five hours due to a locomotive breakdown. Its passengers claim that the carriages are running out of food, water and coal.
According to the publication, the train traveling from Adler to Nizhnevartovsk stopped on the stretch between the Kunashak and Muslyumovo stations due to a broken wheel pair. It is noted that this is not the first train breakdown during the trip, since previously, during a stop in Chelyabinsk, employees had to replace a bearing.
Baza indicated that there is currently a traffic jam of three trains on the section, and Another long-distance train is idle in the cold, as well as a commuter train. According to passengers, the train has been waiting for about five hours, and the supplies of food and coal in the carriages have almost dried up. The situation is aggravated by the fact that people have nowhere to eat due to the fact that the train does not have a dining car, and the conductors only have light snacks from provisions. The publication indicated that conductors prohibit passengers from leaving the carriages. Many of those on the train complain that they do not have time for the transfer in Yekaterinburg.
The telegram channel added that it is not yet known how long the train will stop. The head of the train said that the first attempt to repair the locomotive was not very successful, and now the help of the engineering train is needed.
